#1 The park district still has not created an advisory board to help with communication that was first discussed almost a year ago. We need to encourage the park district to have a representative from each of the parks on this committee. Next they need to meet with this group on an on going basis seeking imput from them and the citiizens that live around the parks.
#2 Spending six million dollars on improvements to the Ball fields and consession stands with no referendum.. we need to look at all expenditures that are long term. This is not a in my back yard issue. This is a community issue and an advisory board would greatly help in helping the numerous opinions.
#3 Lighting park facilities after 10:00 P.M. We need to lobby the park board to have all lights in the parks off at 10:00 p.m. so residents can go to sleep and not hear noise from people in the parks until 11:00p.m. or the lights being on and no one at the facilities.
